Hello, I just joined this site today, and I am in a situation with the mother of my son who lives in Indiana, but I had to move back to Ohio to get work. Is anyone here familiar with Indiana Codes and Statutes for family law? I can go into greater detail with what happend with my case against my son's mother, when I hear from someone who is familiar with these codes and statutes. THanks very much!

I can go into greater detail with what happend with my case against my son's mother, when I hear from someone who is familiar with these codes and statutes. THanks very much! Welcomed to the FRAMED board/group. There's a friend of mine who works towards righting wrongs and is very knowledgable in Indiana family Law. I don't have his number or email address handy at the moment but if you "google" his name, you'll be able to find his website and contact info. He may be able to help you or point you in the right direction. His name is Stuart ShowalterPersonally (pertaining to your email) if I were you I would get headfirst into learning all you can about your rights and paralegal and law procedures (lawyers are too expensive and don't care)and go after this woman legally for not following the court orders and start seeing your child again. You have to get proactive and stay with it constantly. I know it sucks, but until they start doing something about these vindictive and abusive parents who don't follow parenting plans, we have to basical fight every waking moment to remain a part of our childrens lives. What these pathetic parents hope for is that we get tired and just go away, (which happens alot)......once you give up for a while and quit fighting it just makes it harder for everyone (except the pathetic parent who won't cooperate and follow court orders). Learn the law and use the systems that is screwing you to screw back and get to seeing your kid again!

I am living in Ohio. It is about a four hour drive back to Jennings County, North Vernon, IN. In reference to me obtaining the knowledge about these lawsa nd statutes, how would one go about this? I guess what I am asking is there templates out there that can be used in submitting motions and intentions, as well as contempt of court citations?

Look in your states judicial websites, codes and statutes, forms etc. All can be found through google most of the time if you use the right keywords.

If there is someone here that is fimiliar with indiana family law, them please feel free to reply to me. Thank You Very much. That looks like the correct form through the searches I have done. Your Clerk of the Court should be able to tell you if it is a correct document to use to if you ask them. (they cant tell you how to fill it out though).

I've got alot of good info in the law forum section on this site, many links etc. Check out the pro se section too. The more you can learn this stuff (fast) the better off your odds will be at having positive results, even if there small positive results.
