The purpose of this petition is to get help and protection for those parents who have an excellent child support payment history and have recently lost their jobs due to the poor economy. They are now being labeled deadbeat parents when in fact they are not. The true deadbeat parents should be prosecuted to the full extent of the laws. Visitation should also be fully enforced when there is no abuse, neglect, or endangerment. We need our laws changed to make sure people who should be prosecuted are and those who should be protected are protected. We also need a visitation enforcement program set up to help parents who have not seen their children in months or years. We need help from our government to change the laws to fix our child support and visitation problems. I will send all of the stories and signatures to our congressmen, senators, and president along with a list of suggestions made by myself and anyone else who has given me one. They will then read our stories about all of our different problems, review our suggestions, and come up with a plan to help us.
