Hi to all. I found this site by accident and posted first as a guest. Since then, I have registered as I am finding a wealth of information here. I have been on several sides of the proverbial coin during my life.... single mother, divorced custodial mother and now a grandmother raising a grandchild informally (without custody or guardianship). For the 14 years that I was a custodial parent (child is now grown), I received 3 child support payments....and yet, I never prevented his father from seeing him, had him arrested or took him back to court. He did the best he could with what he had to work with. I do not understand parents that place their children's wants and needs on the back burner so they can "win" against the other parent. Gender should play no part in custodial matters and when possible, both parents should be REQUIRED to continue to parent together.
Just my opinion.
