New Hampshire local politician Crow Dickinson is being crucified for uttering some inconvenient truths about divorce and domestic violence–”There are a lot of women who use [domestic violence] as a gimmick in divorce proceedings.”
According to an Associated Press article which has appeared in 200 media outlets, “A town official’s comment that many women use domestic violence claims as a ‘gimmick’ during divorce has drawn ire from supporters of a group that helps abuse victims.” According to the AP:

My letter to Crow Dickinson:
RE: Fathers and Families: In Defense of Crow Dickinson's Comments on False DV Allegations in Divorce
As an advocate for parental and children’s rights, over 5 years of my own family court litigation, having a wife who has volunteered at women’s shelters for 20 years, it is no secret that false allegations of domestic violence and abuse exists and that it is a serious problem in our country.
Not only are the "accusations" which cause a person to be thrown out of their home, thrown in jail, separated from their children, with no evidence or due process beyond belief, but also you have attorneys supporting this criminal behavior just to give their client an advantage in divorce and/or custody trials.
Also, being a man who is a victim of domestic violence, there are no programs or places of support for us men that are federally funded or helpful when we are abused.
A woman seriously injured me 15 years ago and no one would help me except for the plastic surgeon that sewed me up. The woman’s attorney even tried to get the Judge to throw the case out of court because there was no third witness to the crime other than her cat, and that her cat could not testify. (This is the truth and all on record in GA). I had medical records, arrest reports, photos, and over 300 stitches in my head and face. If it wasn't for the actual arresting officer testifying on my behalf, it may have been thrown out of court. The mindset during this trial was that I must of done something to warrant this serious injury (or the cat did it). The Judge did not “buy” their defense and the woman did 2 years in a GA state prison for simple battery.
The majority of the domestic violence industry is seriously flawed and those that think otherwise are not looking out for the best interest of children and/or families.
Where is the funding and programs for abused men?
